Fayetteville, NC (November 19, 2024) – A bicyclist was fatally injured in a collision involving an SUV late Monday afternoon on Ramsey Street at Peace Street. The crash occurred around 5:30 PM, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a southbound SUV on Ramsey Street collided with a bicyclist who was attempting to cross the roadway. The cyclist, identified as 52-year-old Lee Craig Urquhart of Fayetteville, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Tragically, Urquhart succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
