Fayette County, PA (March 4, 2025) – A fatal crash near the intersection of Morgantown Rd and Tent Church Rd on Monday night left one person dead and several others injured.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker confirmed that 24-year-old Tylar Shaffer was pronounced dead at the scene after being ejected through the windshield. Shaffer was a passenger in a vehicle that reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign before colliding with another car.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered injuries and were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine if additional factors contributed to the incident. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews worked at the scene.
