Fairfield, AL (October 16, 2024) – A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night when a 73-year-old man from Birmingham was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking along the 6600 block of Aaron Aronov Drive. According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the identity of the victim is being withheld until family members have been notified.
The accident took place as the man was walking in the area, and the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and promptly called the police. Emergency responders arrived, but unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:15 PM.
