Eugene, OR (January 7, 2025) – A 45-year-old bicyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Highway 99N on Monday evening. The crash occurred at approximately 5:27 p.m. at the Four Corners intersection, according to the Eugene Police Department (EPD).
Authorities reported that the bicyclist, who was wearing dark clothing and lacked lights on his bicycle, entered the intersection against the pedestrian control device. The driver of the vehicle, a 41-year-old Eugene resident operating a Lexus IS, had a green light at the time of the incident.
The driver stopped immediately, called 911, and awaited emergency responders. Eugene Springfield Fire arrived promptly to treat the injured bicyclist, who was later transported to a local hospital for further care.
