Escambia County, FL (January 8, 2025) – A tragic single-vehicle crash early this morning at the intersection of Pace Blvd and Navy Blvd claimed the lives of two individuals, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. Authorities report that a white BMW SUV was traveling southbound on Pace Blvd at a high rate of speed. As the vehicle approached the intersection with Navy Blvd, the driver lost control, causing the SUV to collide with a concrete utility pole.
The driver, a 33-year-old man from Pensacola, was transported to Baptist Hospital but was later pronounced deceased. A 26-year-old woman, a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
