Errol, NH – Head-On Crash Involving Moose and Dump Trucks on Rte 16 Causes Injuries

Errol, NH (September 6, 2024) – Two truck drivers sustained injuries in a head-on collision involving a moose on Rte 16. The accident occurred at 6:37 a.m., about one mile north of Androscoggin Wayside Park on Friday, September 6. Justin Hallee, 38, struck a moose while driving north, lost control, and collided head-on with a southbound dump truck driven by Jacob Gleason, 22. 

Hallee was taken to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in critical condition, while Gleason was treated and released at the scene. New Hampshire State Police were assisted by the Errol Fire Department and the Department of Environmental Services. 

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
