Ellsinore, MO (December 19, 2024) – Emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle crash on Highway V, approximately two miles north of Ellsinore, late Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred around 4:00 PM and involved a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche and a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, both traveling northbound.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both vehicles crossed the centerline, resulting in a sideswipe collision. The Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by a 17-year-old male from Van Buren, MO, sustained minor damage and was later removed from the scene by the owner. The Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 38-year-old male from Ellsinore, MO, also sustained minor damage and was driven away from the scene.
A juvenile female occupant of the Chevrolet Avalanche, aged 17, suffered injuries in the crash. She was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center by East Carter Ambulance for further evaluation. The driver of the Chevrolet Colorado was reportedly uninjured.
