Elk River, MN (November 19, 2024) – Emergency responders were quick to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Westbound Highway 10 near Milepost 217 in Elk River, Sherburne County. The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 PM and involved a 2016 Buick Lacrosse and a 2008 Ford Focus.
According to reports, the Buick Lacrosse was traveling westbound on Highway 10 when it collided with the Ford Focus, which was crossing over the highway from Javis St NW. Emergency responders from Elk River Police Department, Fire Department, and local ambulance services arrived promptly to assist.
The driver of the Ford Focus, identified as 43-year-old Roulio Lundy of Brooklyn Park, MN, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. The airbags in the Ford deployed during the crash, and Mr. Lundy was wearing a seat belt at the time.
The driver of the Buick Lacrosse, 30-year-old Tyla Ann Nelson of Zimmerman, MN, was unharmed in the collision and did not require medical attention. Airbags in the Buick also deployed, and seat belt use was confirmed.
