The incident took place when a red Chevrolet truck attempted to turn onto the southbound ramp to US 31 Bypass from eastbound US 62 and collided with a westbound Chevrolet car.
According to the Elizabethtown Police Department, the truck crossed into the path of the Chevy car, leading to a significant collision. Both the driver and passenger of the Chevy car, a man and a woman, sustained serious injuries and were transported from the scene for medical treatment. The woman driving the truck was also taken to the hospital for care.
