Elba, WI (January 24, 2025) – A 45-year-old Deerfield man sustained life-threatening injuries after a collision on US Highway 151 Wednesday evening. The crash occurred around 7:55 p.m., according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities report that the man was driving an SUV southbound on Hwy 151 when he lost control of the vehicle. The SUV slid through the median into the northbound lanes, where it collided with a semi-tractor trailer. The impact of the crash ejected the SUV driver from his vehicle.
Emergency responders transported the man to UW Madison Hospital for treatment of severe injuries. The driver of the semi, a 46-year-old from Iowa, was unharmed. Neither driver’s name has been released at this time. The crash remains under investigation by law enforcement.
