Effort, PA (December 25, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident resulting in injuries was reported at the intersection of Rt 115 and Sugar Hollow Rd in Chestnuthill Township on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 2:38 PM, drawing responses from Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Station 43, EMS 803, and Syracuse Towing.
Emergency crews, including 43 Rescue Engine 1 and 43-8-1, were on the scene by 2:46 PM, followed by 43 Rescue 6 and additional units arriving at 2:58 PM. Paramedics from EMS 803 provided medical evaluations and care. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and one patient declined further medical treatment, leading EMS to clear the scene by 3:06 PM. Station 43 units completed their efforts and were cleared by 3:10 PM.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Motorists in the area faced temporary delays as crews worked to secure the scene and clear the roadway.
