The incident was reported at approximately 5:08 p.m., prompting an immediate response from local fire departments and emergency services.

Upon arrival, emergency responders observed flames showing from the structure. Multiple units were dispatched to the scene, including PSP and several fire stations, to combat the fire and provide assistance. Updates from the scene indicated that EMS units arrived shortly after the initial report, with EMS 324 on location at 5:13 p.m. and EMS 1802 following at 5:17 p.m.

As the situation unfolded, Engine 36-3 and Engine 36-5 arrived on the scene at 5:21 p.m. and 5:22 p.m., respectively. Reports indicated that the complex was well involved in flames, leading to a request for an emergency disconnect to the rest of the building at 5:26 p.m. The Monroe County Coroner was also notified and requested to respond to the scene.

The fire required the coordinated efforts of multiple fire stations, with various units arriving throughout the evening. The incident prompted the activation of the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) to ensure the safety of firefighters battling the blaze. By 5:41 p.m., Engine 24-5 had also arrived, and the PSP Fire Marshal was requested to investigate the cause of the fire.

As the situation stabilized, updates indicated that various units began clearing the scene. Tanker 36-3 reported being clear and available at 9:03 p.m., followed by other units marking themselves clear throughout the evening.
