East Peoria, IL (January 27, 2025) – Deputies from the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a Monday morning collision that left a 43-year-old East Peoria man with life-threatening injuries.
The accident occurred on the 800 block of W Muller Rd, between Cole Hollow Rd and Cottonwood Cir, just before 6:20 a.m. According to Chief Deputy Timothy Gillespie, both the pedestrian and the vehicle involved were traveling eastbound on Muller Rd when the collision took place.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and provided immediate care to the injured man. He was transported to OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment of his life-threatening injuries.
The Illinois State Police are assisting in the investigation and conducting accident reconstruction to determine the cause of the incident.
