East Los Angeles, CA (January 12, 2025) – A tragic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian resulted in a fatality Saturday evening at the intersection of San Gabriel Blvd and Delta Ave. Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred at approximately 6:05 PM.
According to initial reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a white Honda Accord struck a pedestrian, leaving the individual on the sidewalk following the collision. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACOFD) arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the injured pedestrian.
Despite their efforts, the pedestrian’s injuries proved fatal, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner was notified and assigned case number 2025-00732. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending family notification.
