Easley, SC (October 26, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on Friday night when a man was struck by a vehicle while riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). The crash took place around 11:15 p.m. on S.C. Highway 183 at Old Vinland School Road.

According to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office, the victim, identified as 37-year-old Kyle Thornall, was turning onto Highway 183 from Old Vinland School Road on his ATV when he was hit by a vehicle. Unfortunately, Thornall was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the coroner’s office in conjunction with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
