Wilson, LA (January 4, 2025) – A tragic crash involving a pedestrian occurred on Thursday evening on LA 19, just north of Carruth Rd in East Feliciana Parish. The Louisiana State Police Troop A reported the incident, which claimed the life of 50-year-old Herman Kilbourne III of Morgan City.
According to preliminary investigations, Kilbourne was walking northbound on LA 19, wearing dark-colored clothing, when he was struck by a southbound 2016 Infiniti Q60 in the northbound lane of the roadway. The driver of the Infiniti was properly restrained and uninjured.
Kilbourne suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. As part of the ongoing investigation, routine toxicology samples were obtained from both the pedestrian and the driver for analysis. The crash remains under investigation by Louisiana State Police.
