Duluth, MN (October 28, 2024) – A pedestrian accident occurred on Monday afternoon at the intersection of 6th Avenue East and 2nd Street East, resulting in injuries to a pedestrian. At approximately 1:21 p.m., emergency responders were alerted to the scene following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2023 Dodge Durango, driven by 26-year-old Amy Alden Lemenager of Duluth, was traveling eastbound on 2nd Street when it struck 47-year-old Jessica Ann Deloney, who was in the vicinity of the intersection. Fortunately, the road conditions at the time were dry, which may have aided visibility for both the driver and the pedestrian.
Jessica Deloney sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia St. Mary’s for medical evaluation and treatment. The driver of the Dodge Durango was reported to have no injuries and was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. There were no indications of alcohol involvement for either party.
