Dover, WI (November 12, 2024) – A collision involving a semi-truck and a Chevrolet Trailblazer occurred at the intersection of STH 20 (Washington Aveue) and North Britton Road on Monday afternoon, just after 4:00 PM. Emergency responders from the Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department (KFRD) and the Racine County Sheriff’s Office arrived promptly to assess the situation and manage the scene.
The crash reportedly happened when the semi, an eastbound frameless dump trailer, struck the northbound Chevrolet Trailblazer at the intersection. The impact caused severe damage to the SUV, particularly on the driver’s side rear. Fortunately, no extrication was needed for either driver. Paramedics evaluated both individuals at the scene. The driver of the SUV declined transport, while the semi driver was taken to Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant for further medical evaluation.
The semi-truck came to rest across the westbound lane of STH 20, blocking traffic for about an hour as Racine County Deputies directed vehicles around the site and crews worked to remove the semi. Authorities are investigating the crash to determine its cause.
We hope for the rapid recovery of all wounded individuals.
