Dorchester County, SC (December 20, 2024) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of 39-year-old Heather Lynn Clark of Summerville and left six others injured on Highway 61 northbound near Bees Ferry Rd and Middleton Lakes Rd. The collision occurred at approximately 2:06 PM and led to extended road closures in both directions.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Nick Pye, the incident involved a 2012 Honda SUV, a 2025 Honda motorcycle, and a 2020 Land Rover SUV, all traveling northbound on Highway 61. Reports indicate that the Land Rover struck the motorcycle before colliding with the Honda SUV.
Heather Lynn Clark, the motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of her injuries. The driver and four passengers of the Honda SUV, along with the driver of the Land Rover, were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Their conditions have not been disclosed at this time.
