Dillon County, SC (November 20, 2024) – A tragic single-vehicle accident claimed the lives of two people and left a third injured late Tuesday night in Dillon County. The crash occurred just before midnight on McKay Bridge Rd near Judson Rd, north of Little Rock.
According to Master Trooper Gary Miller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2020 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling south on McKay Bridge Rd when it veered off the right side of the roadway, descending an embankment. The vehicle struck a tree, which caused it to overturn.
Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third was transported to a hospital in Florence for treatment of injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
