Detroit, MI (September 17, 2024) – A tragic accident late Sunday night at the intersection of Gratiot Ave and Harper Ave resulted in two fatalities and one injury. Detroit police responded to the scene shortly before midnight, where a vehicle collided with multiple others before crashing into Prince Liquor store.

One survivor, Jasmin Martin, shared that a speeding vehicle flew over her car, striking it before crashing into the store. Another witness described the vehicle splitting in two during the accident.

Authorities confirmed the incident involved an SUV and another vehicle traveling in opposite directions. The identities of the deceased have not been released. The third injured person remains in serious condition at a local hospital. Further details will follow as the investigation continues.
