Delaware County, OK (December 3, 2024) – A fatal crash occurred early Friday morning on Scenic Highway 412, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Thomas Charles Potts and leaving his passenger, 19-year-old Jacob Aaron Cole, with serious injuries. Emergency responders from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) were called to the scene at approximately 2:16 a.m. after the Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Potts, left the roadway and crashed.
According to OHP, Potts was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, and Cole was partially ejected. Both individuals were transported to the hospital by emergency crews. Despite efforts to save him, Potts was pronounced dead at the hospital. Cole, who sustained internal injuries, is currently listed in stable condition.
