Deerfield, WI (January 15, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision on County Highway Y near 11th Ave in Waushara County resulted in one fatality and one injury Monday afternoon, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 2:47 p.m.
The accident involved a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2008 Jeep Patriot. The driver of the Jeep, identified as 83-year-old Ronald Alton Roebke of Hancock, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet, 18-year-old Isybela Rose Woyak, also of Hancock, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to ThedaCare Wild Rose Hospital for treatment.
Emergency responders, including the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, Wautoma Fire Department, Wautoma Emergency Medical Services, Hancock Emergency Medical Services, and the Waushara County Medical Examiner’s Office, assisted at the scene. The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently leading the investigation into the crash.
