Decatur, AL (September 4, 2024) – Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Beltline Rd SW near 9th St SW in Decatur. Police, along with Decatur Fire & Rescue and Decatur Morgan EMS, responded to the crash around 10:46 a.m. near Logan’s Roadhouse.

Gean Johnson, 72, the driver of one vehicle, died at the scene, according to Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn. Felice Tucker, 69, a passenger in the same vehicle, was transported to Parkway Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
