Decatur, AL (October 20, 2024) – A tragic industrial accident occurred on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of a man at the Dutch Quality House, also known as the Wayne-Sanderson Further Processing Facility. At approximately 7:05 p.m., Morgan County 911 received a call reporting an injury at the facility located on Plugs Drive.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the victim in need of urgent medical attention. He was subsequently transported to Decatur-Morgan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries.
The Decatur Police Department is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident, with assistance from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
