Darien, WI (December 25, 2024) – A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred early Tuesday morning on December 24, at approximately 7:52 a.m. on US Hwy 14, west of State Hwy 89, in the Town of Darien, Walworth County.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and Darien Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting the incident. Upon arrival, first responders located a heavily damaged 2022 Lexus SUV with one occupant trapped inside. Firefighters determined that the driver, a 37-year-old male from Wauwatosa, WI, had succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the fatality.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit. The driver’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of the next of kin.
