Dallas, TX (September 7, 2024) – A teenager was tragically killed Friday morning on E Ledbetter Dr near Marsalis Ave after a car left the road. Police reported that 47-year-old James Grant assaulted the driver during an argument, leading to the vehicle veering off the road and hitting the teen walking nearby.

The driver stayed at the scene and called 911, while Grant fled but was later arrested for felony murder. The victim, Jonathan Ayala, was taken to a hospital where he sadly died. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
