The crash occurred at approximately 6:27 p.m., when an 18-year-old driver from Wetumpka lost control of a 2006 Toyota Avalon, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Tragically, the driver and three of the passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims have been identified as an 18-year-old driver from Wetumpka, a 17-year-old teen from Selma, a 19-year-old Isaiah D. McDade of Pike Road, and a 19-year-old Tyler O. Jones of Montgomery.
