Cumberland, MD (September 26, 2024) – A serious auto accident occurred on Thursday, September 26, at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Interstate 68 Eastbound at Mile Marker 67. Emergency responders were alerted to the scene following reports of an accident involving entrapment and injuries.
Upon arrival, responders from multiple units, including E12, E43-1, and WCE5-1, found that three individuals were trapped inside the vehicle. The situation necessitated a coordinated rescue effort, with additional resources dispatched, including M517, which arrived at 6:30 p.m. The first responders worked diligently to extricate the victims from the wreckage while ensuring their safety and providing necessary medical attention.
