Crown City, OH (January 23, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a fatal accident Thursday morning approximately two miles north of Crown City. The crash occurred near the intersection of Sugar Creek Rd and State Route 7, resulting in the tragic loss of two lives.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, preliminary investigations suggest that an ODOT truck pulled out in front of another vehicle, leading to the deadly collision. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
State Route 7 has been shut down in both directions as troopers continue their investigation and work to clear the scene. Traffic in the area is being diverted, and drivers are advised to avoid the portion of State Route 7 near Sugar Creek Rd until further notice.
