Crawford County, MO (November 2, 2024) – A serious motor vehicle crash occurred on November 1 at approximately 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway CC. The incident involved two vehicles and resulted in significant injuries.
According to the crash report investigated by Trooper A.M. Cunningham, a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 30-year-old male from Marthasville, MO, was traveling eastbound when it failed to yield at the intersection. As a result, the Silverado crossed into the path of a 2022 Ram 1500, which was traveling southbound. The Ram struck the Silverado, leading to a total loss of both vehicles, which were subsequently towed by Chris and Son’s Towing.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado sustained serious injuries and was flown by Phelps Air to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for medical treatment. In the Ram 1500, an 82-year-old female driver from Belle, MO, also suffered serious injuries and was transported by Life Line to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Additionally, a 61-year-old female occupant in the Ram sustained minor injuries and was transported by Missouri Baptist Ambulance District to Missouri Baptist Hospital Sullivan.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene, and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
