Corpus Christi, TX (September 19, 2024) – Kayee Elizabeth Butts, 31, died after a major two-vehicle accident on Tuesday morning, September 17, on Old Brownsville Rd near Horne Rd. Corpus Christi police reported that Butts failed to maintain her lane, crossing into northbound traffic and colliding with another vehicle at 6:59 a.m.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The roadway remained closed for several hours as authorities cleared the scene and began investigating the cause of the crash.
