Concord, VA (September 15, 2024) – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Friday night, September 13 involving a motorcycle being pursued by the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Village Highway. Concord Volunteer Fire Department crews responded to the scene.
The crash led to the closure of all four lanes of Richmond Highway as emergency responders worked to treat the injured. Both patients received medical care at the scene before being transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with authorities reviewing the details of the motorcycle pursuit. No further information has been released at this time.
