Concord, CA (November 26, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred Sunday night when a person riding a bicycle was struck and killed on Highway 242, just north of the Oliveira Road overpass, at approximately 8:50 PM. Emergency responders from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, but despite efforts to assist, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
