Columbus, OH – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Rte 161 near Old Dublin Granville Rd

Columbus, OH (September 10, 2024) – A motorcyclist, 27-year-old Rodrigo Hernandez, tragically died in a crash on Rte 161 in northeast Columbus on Monday. The incident occurred around 6:17 p.m. when Hernandez, traveling west, turned onto Old Dublin Granville Rd and collided with an eastbound van.

Hernandez was ejected from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:41 p.m. The driver of the van remained at the scene, and no one inside the vehicle was injured.

The Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash and will provide further details as they become available.
