Columbia County, WI (February 5, 2024) – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal high-speed crash that occurred during a police pursuit on February 1st.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Jaden Fargen of Bangor, WI, was killed when the vehicle he was in crashed while fleeing from an attempted traffic stop. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Jeremiah Johnson of Sparta, WI, has been charged with Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle.
Johnson made his initial court appearance on Tuesday afternoon and is currently being held in the Columbia County Jail on a $100,000 cash bond. Officials stated that additional charges are likely as the investigation continues.
