Colorado Springs, CO (October 3, 2024) – A road rage incident between two drivers led to a rollover crash on the northbound on-ramp at Cimarron and I-25 on the evening of Thursday, October 3. Police were called to the scene just after 7 p.m. to investigate what initially appeared to be a standard vehicle collision involving two cars, one of which had flipped over.
The vehicles involved in the crash were a Ford F-150 and a Toyota Tacoma towing a trailer. Upon arrival, officers learned that a dispute had occurred between the drivers just prior to the collision. According to a lieutenant from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the driver of the Toyota had reported experiencing road rage, including the other driver brake-checking them.
As both vehicles entered the interstate, the situation escalated. The Toyota attempted to maneuver around the Ford by passing on the shoulder but clipped the pickup truck. After failing to pass on the left, the driver of the Toyota attempted to pass on the right, striking the Ford a second time. This collision resulted in the Ford rolling over.
The driver of the Ford sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical care. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the driver of the Toyota, and authorities indicated that the injured motorist is expected to survive. One individual was arrested in connection with the incident, identified as Mark Graham, although police did not specify which vehicle he was in.
