Colorado Springs, CO (March 3, 2025) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a collision with an SUV on South Academy Boulevard Saturday morning.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers received multiple 911 calls at 11:24 a.m. regarding the crash. Emergency responders from Colorado State Patrol, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and the Colorado Springs Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
Reports indicate that the SUV driver, frustrated with delays caused by road work, drove over a raised median. As the vehicle entered the northbound lanes, a northbound motorcyclist crashed into the side of the SUV.
Emergency responders, including medics and fire crews, worked to assist the injured motorcyclist, who was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities confirmed that the SUV driver was cited for their actions. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
