Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Tennessee
Multi-vehicle collisions, like the one that occurred on Highway 385 in Collierville, are often severe due to the high speeds and complexity of multiple vehicles interacting in a short timeframe. Major highways, especially during early morning hours, present increased risks as drivers may be dealing with low visibility, fatigue, or heavy commuter traffic.
In 2023, Tennessee reported a rise in traffic fatalities, with multi-vehicle accidents contributing significantly to these numbers. Common causes of such crashes include speeding, distracted driving, and failure to maintain safe following distances. The aftermath of these collisions can be devastating, not only for those directly involved but also for their families and communities.
For those injured in multi-vehicle crashes, it is essential to seek immediate medical attention, even if injuries are not immediately apparent. Documenting the scene, gathering witness statements, and filing a report with law enforcement are critical steps to protect legal rights. In Tennessee, victims or their families may pursue compensation if the crash resulted from another driver’s negligence.
