Colerain Township, PA (November 22, 2024) – A tragic two-vehicle collision occurred on November 11 at the intersection of Kirkwood Pike (Route 472) and Stuart Run Rd, claiming the life of a 75-year-old man, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened around 7:31 a.m. when Dennis Allen, 75, of Quarryville, was driving a car and approached a stop sign at the intersection. Police stated that Allen attempted to turn left onto Kirkwood Pike but failed to yield the right of way to an oncoming vehicle. Despite the second driver’s efforts to brake, the collision could not be avoided.
Allen was transported to Lancaster General Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor cuts to their hands and was treated at the scene.
