Coldwater, MI (January 8, 2025) – A 53-year-old man is in critical condition following a bicycle accident on Michigan Ave north of East Chicago St on Wednesday morning. Coldwater Police were dispatched to the scene around 8:08 a.m. after reports of a cyclist being struck by a passing vehicle.
Emergency responders from the Coldwater Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance quickly arrived and provided medical care to the injured bicyclist. He was later transported to a hospital in Fort Wayne for further treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
Coldwater Police have enlisted the help of a traffic crash reconstructionist from the Michigan State Police to assist in investigating the incident. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under review, and additional details are expected as the investigation progresses.
