Cleon Twp, MI (March 5, 2025) – A 17-year-old boy tragically lost his life in a collision with a Manistee County plow truck on Tuesday morning.
According to Michigan State Police (MSP), the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Faylor Rd near Marilla Rd. The plow truck was salting the roadway when the teen’s vehicle lost control on the icy surface, crossed the center line, and crashed head-on into the truck.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, but the young driver did not survive the crash. The driver of the plow truck was uninjured.
Authorities confirmed that icy road conditions contributed to the accident. The incident remains under investigation as the community mourns the loss of the young victim.
