Clear Lake, SD (November 13, 2024) – A serious two-vehicle crash involving a school bus and a car left one driver with significant injuries on Tuesday evening in Deuel County. Emergency crews were dispatched to the intersection of 475th Ave and 181A St around 5:45 PM.
According to officials, none of the children on the school bus sustained reportable injuries. The bus driver was transported to Sanford Clear Lake for minor injuries via personal vehicle. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was initially taken to Sanford Clear Lake Hospital by Deuel County Ambulance before being transferred to Sanford Sioux Falls for further treatment.
A child in the car was also transported to Sanford Clear Lake Hospital for evaluation but was released later that evening.
