Clay, MO (September 5, 2024) – A sideswipe collision on Wednesday, September 4, left one person seriously injured on NB I-35, just south of 16th Ave. The crash occurred around 8:35 p.m. when a 2012 Hyundai, driven by Ibrahim Jabr, 31, sideswiped a 2004 Ford. After the impact, the Hyundai veered off the road and hit a concrete median.

Jabr, a Kansas City resident, sustained serious injuries and was transported by NKC Fire to North Kansas City Hospital. The Ford’s driver, Oscar Torres-Ramon, 23, was unharmed and remained at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and will provide further details as the inquiry continues.
