Clay, MO – One Seriously Injured in Semi and BMW Accident on I-35 at Vivion Rd

Clay, MO (September 11, 2024) – A crash on I-35 Southbound near Vivion Rd early Wednesday morning left one man seriously injured. At around 12:17 a.m., a 2001 BMW 740, driven by Donovan Pearman, 25, attempted an improper turn on the interstate and was struck by a 2014 Peterbilt semi.

Pearman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital by KC Fire. The semi-truck driver, Robert Nelson, 59, was not injured and was able to drive away from the scene.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and will provide further updates as the investigation continues.
