Clark County, ID (January 1, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on ID Highway 28 at milepost 39 Tuesday night resulted in a local woman being hospitalized. The incident occurred at approximately 4:31 PM, according to a statement from the Idaho State Police (ISP).
The crash involved a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 41-year-old man from Salt Lake City and a 2015 Ram 1500 driven by a 51-year-old woman from Leadore. A 37-year-old woman from Idaho Falls was a passenger in the Silverado. According to ISP, the collision occurred in the eastbound lane of Highway 28, but the exact cause of the crash has not been disclosed.
The woman driving the Ram was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her condition remains unclear. ISP confirmed that all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Information about the condition of those in the Silverado has not been released.
Both lanes of Highway 28 were closed for approximately four hours while emergency responders worked at the scene. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
