Cincinnati, OH (February 18, 2025) – A tragic crash on Interstate 75 over the weekend claimed the life of a driver after his vehicle was struck by a commercial truck.
According to local authorities, 37-year-old Luis Rodriguez was traveling north on I-75 on Saturday at approximately 6:30 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle. His car veered off the roadway, collided with a guardrail, and then re-entered the roadway, where it was struck by a commercial vehicle.
Emergency responders transported Rodriguez to UC Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured. Police confirmed that both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
