Chula Vista, CA (January 8, 2025) – A late-night collision involving a car and a pickup truck left at least five people, including several children, injured on H St near Hilltop Senior High School. The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Monday night, just west of the 805 Freeway.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD), the impact resulted in both vehicles being totaled. Emergency responders promptly arrived at the scene and transported the injured individuals to local hospitals for treatment. While the CVPD did not disclose the severity of the injuries, reports from ABC 10News’ Breaking News Tracker suggested that the injuries did not appear to be serious.
Westbound lanes of H St were temporarily closed as crews worked to clear the wreckage and restore traffic flow. CVPD continues to investigate the cause of the collision and has not yet released additional details.
