Chubbuck, ID (February 18, 2025) – A woman was hospitalized following a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Yellowstone Avenue and Briscoe Road late Monday morning.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 11 a.m. and involved a Chevy van and a Mitsubishi car. The force of the collision caused the van to overturn into a roadside ditch, trapping the driver inside. Emergency crews from the Pocatello Fire Department worked for several minutes to extricate the injured woman before rushing her to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello for treatment. Her identity and condition have not yet been released.
Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash, with authorities reporting that they appeared to be totaled. The accident led to the closure of Yellowstone Avenue and Briscoe Road for approximately 90 minutes while officials worked to clear the scene and investigate the circumstances.
Chubbuck police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
