Christian County, MO (January 27, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle accident occurred on Route N, approximately four miles southeast of Clever, MO, leaving one person seriously injured and another with minor injuries. Emergency responders, including Christian County Fire and Rescue and paramedics, quickly arrived at the scene to provide care and transport the injured victims.
The accident took place at approximately 12:35 PM. According to reports, a 2002 Ford F150 driven by a 17-year-old female from Billings, MO, was traveling westbound on Route N when the driver failed to yield at the intersection. The Ford collided with a 2008 Chevrolet HHR, which was traveling northbound and driven by a 57-year-old female from Clever, MO.
The Chevrolet HHR sustained total damage and was removed from the scene by Kenny’s Towing. The Ford F150 experienced moderate damage but was driven from the scene.
The 17-year-old driver of the Ford sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to CoxHealth South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The 57-year-old driver of the Chevrolet suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Both individuals were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. Drivers are reminded to exercise caution and adhere to traffic laws, particularly at intersections, to prevent similar incidents.
